Job Description
Our capital project group is currently looking for Project Estimating Engineer to join our capital project team in Cedar Bayou.
This Project Estimator will provide cost estimating services to support capital projects. The individual will support and assist Project Engineer and Project managers to develop and implement estimating plans for capital projects. Successful candidate will be also assist in developing estimating databases and template for future project use.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
Support project engineers, and project managers to develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates for capital projects from Phase 1 to Phase 4 of the project from rough order of magnitude of 30% through appropriation of 10%
Perform bid analysis for service contracts
Develop estimating to validate supplier pricing and construction FCOs
Evaluate alternatives

Qualifications required:
Ability to work in team environment and good communication skills
Working knowledge of estimating capital projects engineering, procurement, accounting, and construction practices gained from minimum of 5 years of direct experience.
Strong Analytical skills
Excellent computer skills
Advance Microsoft office user - Expert in Excel, and proficient in Access database
Excellent quality orientation and attention to detail

Education:
BS Degree in Quantity Surveyor, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Accounting Mathematics or and at least 5 years of direct professional experience as Project Capital Estimator.
Associate Degree with 10 years of direct experience in Project Cost Estimating
High school diploma with 15 - 20 years of direct experience in planning and project cost estimating chemical plant capital projects

Preferred:
Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance, and Project Systems
Certified AACEI Cost EngineerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
